“I received a FREE bus pass again for 2 weeks.”
And although it’s a blessing to ride the bus for free, you have to wonder if there is an ulterior motive behind it, a simple blessing or just some NICE generous bus driver being nice, just to be nice.
God blessed me for about 2 months riding the bus for free while I was waiting on purchasing my dream car. Everyday of saving $1.75 adds up. I always thanked God for this free blessing. Anybody riding the bus knows that public transportation can be quite expensive.
“My God shall supply my every need, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
If you obey God and serve him , then you’ll live your life in prosperity, and spend your years in pleasures.
I would say those scriptures while receiving my free transfer and enjoy my day with a SMILE, all while saving my change.
Thank you Lord!
You’re suppose to thank him. This a blessing.
A $1.75 transfer each day eventually turned into a free $3.50 DAY pass.
An additional $1.75 blessing!
I knew something was up because he would smile at me and we would have brief words but nothing more than he liked my nail jobs and have a great day and thank you for the bus pass to show respect.
One day I received my free bus pass and the driver gave me a hug and told me he liked me.
Whoa, wait a minute!
I’m thinking a free bus pass isn’t worth me trying to get into any relationship or being involved in anything I don’t feel comfortable. That was the end of my free bus pass that day.
I enjoyed my free pass while it lasted. Sometimes, you have to enjoy the moment because they don’t last forever. Maybe the driver didn’t mean no harm. Maybe the driver was just letting me know he likes me as a friend. Maybe it wasn’t what I expected. Maybe he wanted a close relationship?
What if this? What if that?
Who knows.
But I didn’t feel comfortable anymore after that. I mean, what do you do if someone tells you they like you after doing something nice for you? I guess it depends on what the person does for you and the position they’re in.
It’s not like I saw the bus driver after that 1 ride. It was the early morning QUICK bus ride for like 15 minutes and that’s it. You could easily avoid that bus driver’s time route by waiting 10 minutes and I still wouldn’t see him.
You have to know when to cut your losses. I enjoyed my free bus passes for a while, which was given to me freely. It’s a blessing to save money on the public transportation daily.
But that’s over now. I’ve decided a free bus pass isn’t worth any potential uncertain situations down the road.
How about you? Have you ever received anything free from a person and wonder why they're being generous and the tables turn around? How did you feel?
Let’s talk about it.
I say kudos to you for trusting your gut. Which is worth more than all the bus passes in the world.
It does make one wonder about the intentions behind the gesture...
